SICILIAN TRADITIONAL CUISINE AT OUR RESTAURANT ON THE SEA OF CEFALÙ


The typical dishes of the Sicilian gastronomy served at Al Porticciolo in Cefalù include traditional meat and fish dishes, house specialties and pizza made in various ways, which you can choose from an a la carte menu or at a fixed price, along with the many varieties of wines and homemade beers.

The restaurant is located in the historic center on the old port of Cefalù, a coastal town in northern Sicily, in the province of Palermo, in the heart of the local maritime and gastronomic tradition. It is in this crossroads of flavors and landscapes that you can breathe the air of other times, an air that smells of sea and land, just like our Sicilian specialties that we offer in our various themed menus.

The restaurant and pizzeria enjoys a privileged position overlooking the sea. In spring and summer, you can have lunch and dinner on the panoramic outdoor terrace that extends on the pier, close to the cliff.

First and second courses of grilled meat and fish

We offer many typical dishes of Sicilian cuisine, from homemade pasta to main courses of fish and meat, cooked and seasoned with local ingredients.
Those who love fish can also order it raw, since it is so fresh. We prepare seafood specialties with crustaceans, tuna, octopus, salmon, sea urchin and with the catch of the day, cooked in stews, broiled, grilled. Not to be forgotten, are the meat dishes, of certified origin and prepared with various cuts and cooking styles, flavored with rich condiments. Specialties include entrecôte, grilled fillets, fillets with green pepper, scallops, and much more. The menu also offers more special dishes such as cous cous with an exotic taste. Every season we to try to prepare side dishes and unique dishes based on fresh ingredients.

Wines, prosecco and homemade desserts

To accompany our dishes of traditional Sicilian cuisine, we offer a wine list rich with many labels. From the drinks menu, you can choose from an infinity of white and red wines from all over the peninsula, but also several excellent sparkling wines, prosecco and champagne. If you wish, you can opt for a classic craft beer (of national or international origin), ideal to combine with our pizzas.
And to conclude the meal, we invite you to taste our homemade desserts, which are representative of the most sophisticated local and regional pastries.

Al Porticciolo welcomes its guests in two spacious and warm interior rooms, with comforting colors and furnishings. These offer pleasant places to have an intimate lunch or dinner for both couples or families; or ideal locations for parties and ceremonies, special events, private or business. To make the restaurant even more exclusive, especially in the warmer months - which are never slow to arrive in Sicily - is the terrace that stretches on the pier, overlooking the sea. In Cefalù, you can enjoy a holiday at any time of year, because the area offers many wonderful things to enjoy: from the ever moderate and welcoming temperatures to the historical and natural beauties scattered throughout the island. Not to mention, the traditional cuisine, with specialties that vary with the seasons, that you can discover in every corner of Sicily.
Our restaurant is located on the northern coast, in the province of Palermo, at the end of the Gulf of Termini. A corner where you can discover the beauty of the sea and the endless beaches of fine and clear sand, interrupted at times only by cliffs and vegetation; the particularity of the little houses perched on the sea, behind the rocky wall. 1.5 kilometers of coastline to explore, with free and equipped stretches of beach, lively every hour of the day. Those who are passionate about diving or snorkeling will discover wonderful backdrops. The historical-cultural itinerary, instead, focuses on the charm of the remote eras, from the Arab to the Norman domination, which characterize the architectural style of Cefalù.

At the end of the Gulf of Termini, on the northern coast of Sicily, lies the wonderful Norman town of Cefalù, which annually hosts thousands of tourists looking for sea, history and dishes with unique flavors.

At the restaurant "Al Porticciolo" we prepare dishes and specialties of Sicilian cuisine, both the characteristic one of the island and the local one, besides the many Italian recipes, flavored by our citrus fruits, herbs and spices. The fresh fish is the main ingredient of our seafood dishes, taken directly from the depths of the rich Mediterranean, which you can also eat raw. But the reasons that make Cefalù a pearl to discover are not just culinary: the town is part of the Madonie Natural Park, a site of great naturalistic and geological interest, with a variety of local animal and plant species; and it is also considered - officially - one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with its Cathedral (declared by Unesco as a World Heritage Site) in the Northern European Romanesque style, embellished with Arab influences.
